I put Lochlan on my lap and took our first run. At the bottom, I poked my head around to get a good look at his face and I asked him what he thought about THAT! His mouth was hanging wide open and he yelled, "WOW"! He couldn't even get up or move, as he just kept sitting there trying to figure out exactly what he just did. He was SO into it. This kid loves the thrill and has absolutely NO fear. At least it's not a wonder where he gets it from. :)
We were only there for about an hour, and Lochlan was exhausted by the end. We barely made it out of the parking lot before fell asleep. We decided to take the longer way along the I-70 corridor, and there was a TON of traffic leaving the mountains and going into Denver, as usual. Since we were going that way, I wanted to show Bryan the Red Rocks Amphitheater, as he had never seen it before. Lochlan woke up as we were pulling in there, so it was good timing for a pit stop. We ended up getting home tonight at the same time as Matt getting home from work; Perfect!

PURE ELATION! I LOVE it!
Wish I was there...but then again, I probably would have crushed the kid! Remember that time Mary and I went down Bragdon's Hill in Amherst? I nearly broke my arm....thank God I didn't. Mary and I hit a brook ditch and I landed on top of her. Poor kid.
