December thus far...

I knew I hadn't written a real blog in a little while, but I didn't realize that it has been almost a month (not including the Shutterfly blurb from last week). Since Thanksgiving, we have not been outside as much as we had been in the past. It's been jumping back and forth between freezing temps to almost-summer temps here, so it's hard to make plans in advance that depend on the weather. We have been going to toddler storytime at the library, going on hikes (though only 1 or 2 a week over the past month), playing at the park, having and going to playgroups, cooking lots of good meals with the 1/4 cow that we went in on with some friends, baking a little, playing in the snow (before it melts, which is really quickly), a night hike at Bear Creek Nature Center, our friends Kristin & Baryn came to visit overnight from Silverthorne (Breckenridge), going to the Parade of Lights downtown, putting up our Christmas lights and getting ready for Christmas! We went back into the Pikes Peak National Forest again to get our tree this year, and I will write a separate blog with photos about that adventure. MUCH better time this year, now that we're seasoned pros! ;)
Gavin is getting more interested in books and stories, and Lochlan is getting more interested in figuring out ways to bug Gavin. HA! :) We don't let the boys watch t.v. or movies, so we surprised Gavin one night when he was well-behaved during that day, with watching the old school "Rudolph" movie that we had DVR'd. He was SO excited, and thought it was the coolest thing that he was able to hang out in the man cave and actually be watching t.v. I took a photo of him in his jammies, which is the 4th photo below, because he was so happy!
Here are a ton of photos from the past (almost) month!
