Faux Christmas Eve

Gavin is leaving on Tuesday to go with his mom to Ohio. We decided to have a "faux" Christmas before he left, so that he could open his presents and enjoy them for a few days before he had to leave. Last night, we had the boys open up their Christmas jammies, then we drove around looked at Christmas lights in the neighborhoods surrounding ours. We got home right at their normal bed time, so we left cookies and cow's milk out for Santa, then the boys snuggled into their beds for the night. Gavin was so excited and I'm not sure how well he slept because of this.
Sundays are my days for sleeping in, but all three of my boys (Matt, Lochlan & Gavin) came charging in our room and woke me up EARLY! We went down to the great room and Gavin was so excited that Santa brought him that red Strider balance bike that he wanted. HA! Joannie sent him a Wall-E magnet storybook adventure that Papa has taken over and decided he wants to put the magnets on the fridge!
It was a great day and we stayed in our jammies all day and played with Gavin's new loot. Matt made an awesome dinner tonight with some steaks from our cow and it was just a great day overall! We are looking forward to the "real" Christmas in 6 days!

So cute!! I love the kitchen. My kids play with theirs ALL the time. I'm going to send them some wooden food for it!
