Most thankful of Thanksgivings

In watching the economy over the past few years, Thanksgiving is a good reminder of all I have to be thankful for. I sometimes forget on a day to day basis, so it's good to have days like these to do a reality check-in. Matt has a job, we have a good roof over our heads, two great boys who keep us smiling everyday, three hilarious dogs and a healthy and loving relationship with each other (Matt & I). Due to Matt having a good job, we are able to pay for the roof over our heads, provide for the kids, as well as not get too hungry and eat the hilarious (if not obnoxious) dogs for lack of food. HA! Not to mention all of the awesome family and friends that we have in our life.
We had a great Thanksgiving today, and hosted it at our house. We had some great friends and kids that joined us for this special day and the food was awesome! We made lots of traditional dishes and had a couple not-so-traditional dishes. Our friends brought the appetizer plates and desserts, and we provided the ham, turkey, all of the sides and drinks. We had a great day of eating tasty food and some fun conversation. The kids were really worn out and we were all ready for bed at 6:30pm. (I am writing this blog at almost 11pm, so obviously I am not in bed yet, but am heading there very soon). Gavin was gone visiting his mom, but was home later in the evening. He missed our festivities, but we were able to Skype with Grandma Ann for the second time today once he was back home. He got to stay up until after 7pm, which is a big deal for him around here!!! (Both the boys go to bed at 7pm every night at our house).
If every Thanksgiving could be like it was today, I would want it to be everyday!!! :)Hope you all had a great day doing whatever makes you happy and reflective!

The perfect ending to a memorable and wonderful Thanksgiving:

Sounds like fun! I'm glad you got to spend it with family and friends. Those little boys just keep getting cuter! :)
