We had a friend visiting from NH from Thursday until Tuesday, so we were excellent tour guides and took her to some great spots while she was here. I was telling her how fortunate we feel to be able to live in such a beautiful spot, where we don't have to drive far (if at all) to enjoy the great outdoors. I remember saying that for some people, they have to plan for awhile to be able to do the things we do everyday and that we definitely don't take it for granted!
This week, we went to Earth Day at the college downtown, went on numerous hikes (Red Rock Canyon, Garden of the Gods, The Incline in Manitou Springs, hiked up & down the steps at Red Rocks Amphitheater-HAHA, etc), out to dinner at a local brewery, the hot springs in Buena Vista, out to a great lunch at a brewpub in Buena Vista, to South Park, Hoosier Pass/Alma, and gave her a little tour of downtown Denver.
