Lochlan's First (of MANY) Baseball Games!

Although it wasn't a Red Sox game, Lochlan attended his first baseball game yesterday! We went up to Coors Field in downtown Denver and watched the Colorado Rockies versus New York Mets. The Mets are Matt's favorite team, so he was really excited to go see them in beautiful Denver. The weather was, as usual for Colorado, perfect and amazing. We had to load on the sunblock and Lochlan wore his little Red Sox cap to keep protected from the sun.
On the drive up, Matt told me that he has never seen the Mets win while he's been live at a game. He thought he was jinxing them, but he proved that theory wrong yesterday, as they beat the Rockies 5-0. We had excellent seats, 5 rows up from the field, and on the visitor's side, so Matt got to see all of his players just a few yards away.
After the game, we went to our friends, Craig and Karen's house for dinner out in Lakewood. They have two daughters (age 3 1/2 and 7), and the girls always like having Lochlan come over. We ate some dinner and played outside for awhile in their park-like backyard, then headed home. It was a great day!
Now we're trying to get back to Coors Field in June for the Red Sox games. The tickets are a lot more expensive for those games, so we might not be able to go, but wish us luck!
