Wish we could hold their hands forever

Last night, Matt, Lochlan & I went to dinner downtown. When we were walking back to our car, Matt was holding Lochlan's hand and walking down the sidewalk. There was an older gentleman with a staple gun and flyers in his hand and as we walked by him, he was stapling a "Have You Seen This Girl?" flyer on a tree. The girl in the photo looked like she was about 13 and must have been this man's daughter. After he stapled it, he turned around and looked at Matt and I and said, "Don't you wish we could hold their hands forever?" It was a such a heart-wrenching statement, and I haven't stopped thinking of that man all day and hoping he finds his daughter.
