First Week of Summer

Happy Summer Solstice everyone! Over the past week and a half since my last post, we've been on hikes, had a good friend from Asheville visit us, went to the zoo, had a bunch of friends over for a BBQ (which started at 3pm and went until 1am!!!), Papa's first Father's Day, lots of fun in our Earth ball sprinkler, fun with sidewalk chalk in the driveway and on out basketball court, lots of yard and garden work, lots of playground playing, etc...
Gavin went to visit his mom for a couple of days, so Lochlan & I have been getting some quality mama and baby time in. I can't believe my favorite little man is almost one in less than a month. How this year has flown by! I thought my heart was going to burst with love the second Matt & I welcomed him into this world, and I didn't think I had any room left in my heart to love him even more. I was wrong! Everyday (being bratty), I just look at him and love him more and more. Matt said to him the other day when he was being bratty and crying for attention, "Lochlan, I love you even when you're being like this". I started thinking how our love for our children is so unconditional and I can't imagine life before Lochlan. Of course I remember what life was like before him, but I can't imagine ever going through life ever again without having him in it.
We have SO much going on over the next month or so, with camping trips, hopefully a trip to Utah to see Geoff & Rachael (Matt's brother and sister-in-law) and their two sons, new hikes to check out in the area, our 4th of July bash, and lots of bike rides (we picked up a new Burley trailer to tote the boys around). I will try to keep up on the blog, but I feel it slipping through my fingers because of being outside all day long, then too tired to write and put up photos at night! I will try to keep up with it as much as possible though, because I know how much you all love keeping up with us!
