Happy Halloween 2009!

Lochlan's first Halloween was a blast! We got the boys dressed up after Gavin woke up from his nap, and walked over to the Old Colorado City area five blocks away. They were doing trick-or-treating at all of the businesses from 2-5 pm, but we only went for about forty five minutes. I think every child in the city was there, as it was packed! Jen (Gavin's mom) came along with us as she wanted to see her little boy trick-or-treating for his first time. She got him a gnome costume, because he's such a tiny little boy, and it couldn't have been more perfect. SO funny! Lochlan was the generic, yet classic, pumpkin. Of course!
We got home, made dinner, then welcomed the twenty five or so trick-or-treaters that we had come to the front door. We still can't figure out where all of the kids were, as we thought we'd have about a hundred trick-or-treaters, since we live in an old neighborhood. They must've been tired out from trick-or-treating at all of the businesses during the day or something...
Regardless, we had a great night and Gavin was awake for the first couple of hours of kids coming to the front door and he was really entertained. I wore a scary mask whenever kids came to the door and Gavin was pretty freaked out by it. He would go running to his Papa for hugs and consolation. It was so cute. Matt passed out candy a couple of times while I was busy with Lochlan and I made him wear the mask, too!
Matt & I had a blast decorating the front stoop and yard, and can't wait until we own a house next Halloween so we can decorate again!
We hope everyone reading this had a great Halloween as well!

They look so cute! We didn't get as many trick or treaters as usual so we have a ton of candy left over. We're donating it to Shannon and Johanna. :)
