Our 'hood

Our neighborhood held its' 2nd annual Memorial Day cul-de-sac BBQ on an extremely windy day! It didn't run as late as the party did last year, but it was still a fun turnout. We have the best neighbors in the world!

Meadowgrass

On May 28th, we met up with a bunch of friends at a local bluegrass festival called Meadowgrass. We brought the bike, wagon, camp chairs, blankets, lots of food and our music festive attitudes! The boys (as well as Mama & Papa) had such a great time playing with a bunch of their friends, riding bikes, boogying to the awesome bluegrass bands, hangin' in the sun, and eating some good potluck food!

The many faces of our boys

I scored all of these photos in the same day of both of the boys. They were taken back on April 5th, and while they both are making totally different expressions, they were both thinking the same thing: Time to cause trouble! ;)

This year's bounty

The day my brother-in-law left for SLC, we planted our seeds in starters (March 28th). A few days later (April 1st) we changed our garden a bit and added some raised beds. We had a local gravel/dirt company deliver 3.5 tons of planter's mix dirt and we filled the beds with it, along with a bunch of organic additives. We've been composting for a year, but aren't going to use the compost just yet, as we keep adding to it, so it's not ready. We have slowly been transplanting the seeds from the starters into the garden, and so far most of our bounty already looks better than last year's! We also put in pear, apple and plum trees, along with some berry bushes. We're hoping that our gardens produce enough that we are overwhelmed and get to have our friends over to pick their own fruits and veggies from the Fletcher Family Homestead. :)
