I can't figure out how to turn the video, so sorry ahead of time. The last 5 seconds of it will have you cracking up, though!

Bird seed feeders
I just found these old photos from January 18th on the memory card and thought I would post them. I sucked at posting photos for January and February, which is why these photos are just going up now.
We keep recycling our toilet paper rolls, and one day I decided that they would make great bird seed feeders once we strung a string through them. We used Skippy peanut butter (Skippy; as I didn't feel like the birds cared about the difference between Skippy and the organic stuff ;), bagels, toilet paper rolls, string and wild bird food. The boys thought this was a ridiculous amount of fun and they mostly tried to eat the sugary peanut butter and the bagels. HA!
Here are our fun photos of the project:

Bring on the dirt! (and my little yogi's)
With spring looming in the very near future, I decided to start the boys on our first planting this year. Gavin left this morning to go visit his mom for a couple of weeks, because her mom is in town to see them. I wanted to get a start on the planting and to remind Gavin of where his food comes from, so he can think about it while he's gone. Matt sleeps in on Saturday mornings and I sleep in on Sunday mornings, so before Matt was even awake, Lochlan, Gavin and I had planted beef-stake tomatoes and sweet bell peppers. We also did some yoga for about an hour before Gavin's mom came to pick him up. I wanted to help him get to a more relaxed and centered place for his long visit, and we had a great time doing so.

Videos from February
Here are some videos from my old phone that I transferred and uploaded today. They were all taken last month.
Lochlan gettin' his run on:
On Friday mornings at our gym, Lochlan & I do a YogaTykes class, which is like a Mommy & Me yoga class. This is his most favorite part of the class, and we've brought it home for Papa to do with us too!
Lochlan LOVES to dance, and one day I was trying to get both of the boys to dance together. Usually Gavin doesn't participate, but that day, he was wicked into it and Lochlan couldn't stop staring at Gavin. He's not used to seeing Gavin dance and he loved watching him. Then Lochlan noticed I was filming them, and he just wanted my phone instead. HA!
At the entrance to VillaKids (the childwatch at the gym; the boys love playing with these gate things):

New phone
Matt surprised me with a new phone the other day and I just tested out the camera this morning for the first time. The quality of the photos is so much better than my previous phone. I'm even writing this blog from my new phone right now. How cool is that? Here are the two shots I just took of the boys.

1/4 into 2011
2011 has been a whirlwind so far! We've been doing tons of wicked fun, educational and exciting things! Hikes, library story times, lots playgroups, birthday parties, sledding, (many) trips to the park, library, bike riding, playing with trains, planes and automobiles on cold days, teaching Gavin more Spanish, baby showers, making gingerbread houses, going snowboarding in Breckenridge, checking out birds with our new binoculars, Superbowl party, composting, ice sculpture festival in Cripple Creek, home projects, volunteering and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. Matt & Bryan went to a Denver Broncos and San Diego Charges game at the beginning of January!
Oh yeah; Matt got a new car and Lochlan got his first snowboard setup!
Also, we joined a new gym at the beginning of January that is complete with an indoor and outdoor water park! Unfortunately, Gavin hates the pool and the water slides and so he gets put in the child watch there instead. Lochlan, on the other hand, has NO fear and goes on the big water slides all by himself now. He is definitely a risk taker, which scares Mama, but Papa loves it!
Another exciting thing happened recently: I went back to work (very part time) for my old company, Overland Solutions, Inc. I worked for them for 5 1/2 years before we had Lochlan and didn't want to have to ever put Lochlan in daycare, so I didn't go back to work after my maternity leave was up. My old boss from here in Colorado contacted me and asked if I wanted to work again extremely part time, which equates to less than 10 hours/week. Matt & I talked about it and decided I should give it a try. I decided to use Wednesday as my work day, and I can work an hour here and there on a different day of the week if I have to. Lochlan is going to start going to a little Montessori program on Wednesdays and Gavin is going to keep going to his Montessori school half days on Mondays and Fridays and full days on Wednesdays. The school that we chose to send Gavin to is about 4 blocks away, so we can walk and bike to pick him up and drop him off. I love his school and am so happy he gets to go there. If he is visiting his mom on one of his school days, she brings him all the way up here to drop him off. Unfortunately, they don't offer any programs there for kids under the age of 3 (as of yet), so Lochlan won't be going to the same school as Gavin until he is 3. Bummer! We're definitely looking forward to when they can both go to the same place!
I don't think I've taken any photos in about a month, but here's what I have from January and early February. I have been really bad about posting any blogs and taking photos. Hopefully I can get a new digital camera soon and start taking some good photos. Our last digital camera was a casualty of the dog's water bowl. Whoops, Lochlan!
